Hyundai India has officially unveiled the Creta SUV that will go on sale on July 21.

The new global model is based on the HIVE body structure that offers “a robust yet lightweight body structure” with “strong dynamics and enhanced safety.” The vehicle has identical design with the China-only ix25, featuring chromed hexagonal radiator grille and sweptback headlights with daytime running lights integrated.

Power is provided by two diesel and one petrol engines. The 1.6 Dual VTVT provides 123 PS (90 kW) and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.6-liter CRDI VGT diesel unit comes with 128 PS (94 kW) and either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

The Hyundai Creta is equipped with projector headlamps with LED turning signals, 17-inch alloy wheels, audio system with six speakers, engine start-stop button, six airbags, etc.

Sales of the model in India will kick off on July 21 and the SUV will be manufactured locally in Chennai.
