Chevrolet has staged the European debut of the 2016 Camaro at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Set to go on sale in Europe next spring, the Euro-spec model will be offered with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 275 bhp (205 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft ) of torque. It will be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which will enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately six seconds and consume less than 8 L/100 km (29.4 mpg US / 35.3 mpg UK).
European customers can also order a 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 455 bhp (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque. It can be paired to either a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Detailed specifications will be announced closer to launch but Chevrolet confirmed the Euro-spec Camaro will feature LED daytime running lights and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The model will also have a Bose audio system and a MyLink infotainment system with an 8-inch display.
