Nissan is providing a sneak preview of their 2016 Maxima SR Midnight set to debut this weekend in Los Angeles at the BET Experience.

The all-new Maxima is certainly not your run-of-the-mill mid-size sedan as its unique profile certainly makes it stand out among other four-door sedans while this SR Midnight edition makes it an eye-catcher even more thanks to a sinister black theme. It wears an exclusive Super Black paint and has received a sporty rear spoiler along with rocker panel moldings and a rear diffuser. It can also be visually distinguished by its black 19-inch alloys and splash guards as well as by the Charcoal leather interior with Alcantara seat inserts.

Just like the regular 2016 Maxima, the SR Midnight edition is powered by a V6 3.5-liter engine producing 300 bhp (223 kW) and 261 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque channeled to the wheels through a newly developed “performance-oriented” Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

It should go on sale this summer alongside the regular 2016 Maxima which kicks off at $32,410, but this one will obviously be a tad more expensive due to the added goodies. Full details are coming soon as the model will be introduced in a short while at the BET Experience.
