The 2016 Mercedes E63 AMG has been spied near the company's technical center at the Nürburgring.
Dressed in traditional black and white camouflage, the high-performance sedan is distinguished by an aggressive front fascia with a revised grille and larger air intakes. Moving further back, we can see sportier side skirts, lightweight alloy wheels and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
Mercedes has been tight-lipped about the next E63 AMG but it is expected to use an upgraded version of the company's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. It produces 510 PS (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque in the AMG GT S but AMG CEO Tobias Moers has previously said there's a "lot more room for more horsepower and more torque." There's no word on what the final output but the current twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 develops 557 PS (410 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque.
