Mac Audio has transformed a first generation MINI Clubman S into a veritable boombox on wheels

Mac Audio has transformed a first generation MINI Clubman S into a veritable boombox on wheels.

The car hi-fi specialists installed no less than three power amps, four loudspeakers and a couple of subwoofers to take care of the deep frequencies. There are also a bunch of other audio-related goodies like a head unit, Audiovox DAB+100 module, an extra SP 1000 battery and two Mac Audio Cap 1.2 Farad condensers.

The overhauled interior with Recaro Sportster CS seats is matched on the outside with a JCW-sourced body kit, special livery and 18-inch wheels wrapped around in 215/35 R18 Yokohama S-Drive AS01 rubbers. In addition, Wimmer Rennsporttechnik was in charge of fiddling with the engine’s electronics and modifying the exhaust setup to boost output to 230 PS (169 kW) and 365 Nm which enables the tuned Clubman S to hit a maximum speed of 148 mph (239 km/h).
