Mercedes has announced plans to stage the "worldwide debut of the new generation A-Class" at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

While the model is actually a facelift and not a new generation, the company says the new A45 AMG will tackle the famous hill climb.

Mercedes didn't have much to say about the facelifted model but previous spy photos have shown it will feature a new front bumper and restyled lighting units.  The model is also slated to have an improved interior with an updated infotainment system.

Besides the facelifted A-Class lineup, Mercedes will showcase the AMG GT S, C 63 S and the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 W04 V8 Formula One car.
