The Top Gear news continues as Chris Evans has announced they'll be holding auditions to find his new co-hosts.

In a statement, Evans said "The way Richard and James were found was by auditioning, so what we're going to do is hold auditions. Not just for famous people, ex-famous people, up-and-coming famous people, but for people who are watching the show."

Evans went on to say age and gender doesn't matter but "... you've got to have a real appetite for cars, and you've got to know something about cars."

Interested candidates will be asked to submit a relatively short clip - 30 seconds or less - of themselves simply talking to the camera without doing any stunts or gimmicks.  The most promising candidates will then be invited to a live audition in front of Evans and the Top Gear production team.
