The 2016 Nissan Altima has been spied undergoing testing in the United States.

Caught wearing black and white camouflage, the facelifted model features a new V-Motion front fascia with restyled headlights. The styling changes are less noticeable out back but will likely include a modified rear bumper and restyled taillights.

Our spies couldn't get close enough to snap interior photos but the 2016 Altima is expected to have an improved cabin with higher quality materials and an updated infotainment system.

Engine options will likely carryover so expect choices to include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 182 bhp (135 kW) and 180 lb-ft (243 Nm) of torque as well as a 3.5-liter V6 with 270 bhp (201 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque.

The 2016 Altima is slated to be introduced later this year, so expect to learn more in the coming months.
