The Volvo S90 has returned in new spy photos taken on the A1 motorway in the Netherlands.
Earlier this month we saw the new S90 testing for the first time on the streets of Amsterdam and now the very same vehicle was spotted undergoing high-speed tests. Now we have the chance to take a closer look at the model’s T-shaped LED daytime running lights, integrated in the headlights. This design was first introduced with the XC90.
From what we know about the S80 successor so far, the car will likely be revealed in late 2015 or early 2016 with sales starting shortly after. Not much is known about the vehicle’s innards, but it will be based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) and will be offered with a wide range of 4-cylinder turbo petrol and diesel engines.
The S90 will be produced in China and is expected to be more expensive than the current S80. The sedan version will be followed by the V90 estate.
