Nissan has announced plans to stage the world debut of the 2015 Juke-R NISMO at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The crazy Juke-R is back as Nissan has released a teaser image of the high performance crossover which now wears the NISMO branding. Details about the model are not available at this point, but most likely it comes with the same twin-turbo V6 3.8-liter engine sourced from the GT-R. The previous limited-run Juke-R was rated at 485 bhp (362 kW), but expect these numbers to increase now that NISMO’s engineers had the chance to fiddle with the engine. Most likely the horsepower figure will grow to 592 bhp (441 kW) as seen in the GT-R NISMO which offers a maximum torque of 481 lb-ft (652 Nm).

Expect performance levels to surpass those of its predecessor which needed 3.7 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and topped out at 160 mph (257 km/h). It is not known at this point whether the Juke-R NISMO is a concept or it will enter limited production series, but if it will be commercially available don't expect it to be cheap as the old model was made on a build-to-order basis and each car carried an exorbitant starting price of $590,000.

The 2015 Nissan Juke-R NISMO will be unveiled at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 25.
