The next generation Renault Laguna has been snapped while undergoing testing in Romania.
Likely to debut on July 6, the machine seen on the streets of Bucharest still wears a heavy camouflage and is not giving us any fresh details on its exterior design. We are able to see the new model is still being tested in sedan version, while an estate is also expected on a later date.
In fact, it’s still unconfirmed that the new D segment offering from Renault will wear the Laguna moniker, as some previous rumors suggested the model name could be changed to distance itself from the previous Laguna and the bigger Latitude, which were not quite a success for the brand.
The new vehicle will be based on the CMF architecture, also used by Nissan. Expected to go on sale from this fall, the car will come with a four-wheel steering system, second generation R-Link infotainment system and a wide range of safety systems.
