Automotive News is reporting Jeep will show the Grand Wagoneer to dealers in August.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles-owned Jeep will apparently display the range-topping Grand Wagoneer model to dealer representatives at the biennial dealer show scheduled for August in Las Vegas. It will be the company's most expensive SUV and will adopt a three-row seating while its main rival will be the Range Rover.

This new report comes as a surprise taking into account the revived Grand Wagoneer is set to go on sale as a 2018 model year so it's still more than two years away and it is unlikely Jeep has finished work on its upcoming flagship model. Chances are the company will show some design sketches of the model that according to company's global director Michael Manley will "very, very effectively compete with premium SUVs."
