Audi Forum Ingolstadt currently has on display a brand new second generation Q7 3.0 TDI quattro painted in black.

Criticized by many for looking too much like an allroad wagon, Audi's overhauled Q7 is 325 kg (716.5 lbs) lighter in this 3.0 TDI quattro version which tips the scales at 1,995 kg (4,398 lbs). It carries a starting price in Germany of €60,900, but this particular car is equipped with the optional matrix LED headlights (€2,580) and rides on 21-inch five-arm turbine-design alloys (€2,990) while on the inside it gets cedar brown Valcona leather upholstery (€2,550) and a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with shift paddles (€125).

Underneath the hood it carries a six-cylinder 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine developing 272 PS (200 kW) and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of torque. It will run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 6.3 seconds and top out at 145.4 mph (234 km/h) while fuel consumption stands at 5.7 liters / 100 km (41.3 mpg US or 49.5 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 149 g/km.

Audi will kick off deliveries of the second-gen Q7 later this summer.
