Jaguar and Pinarello have teamed up to create a high-performance bicycle which will attempt to break the UCI Hour Record this weekend.

Set to be ridden by Sir Bradley Wiggins, the Pinarello Bolide HR was put through the same Computational Fluid Dynamics design process as the Jaguar XE.  As a result of this analysis, Jaguar and Pinarello decided to use a one-piece titanium handlebar and frameset to minimize weight and drag.  This, along with other aerodynamic styling tweaks, has managed to improve the bike's overall aerodynamic performance by 7.5 percent.

In a statement, Wiggins said "I've worked with Jaguar's performance engineers since 2010, and their world class knowledge and experience in aerodynamics, combined with Pinarello's expert frame building, gives me confidence that I can set a new standard on Sunday."  He went on to say "The Bolide HR is the most aerodynamically efficient track bike I've ever ridden."
