TVR's owners have revealed some new details about their plan to relaunch the company.

In an interview with Autocar, TVR confirmed plans to launch at least four new models.  Little is known about them but two of the models have already been designed and both will be available as a coupe and convertible.

The cars are expected to ride on a tubular steel chassis and feature aluminum and composite body panels.

Performance specifications remain under wraps but the cars are expected to use either a GM or Ford-sourced V8 engine that has been tuned by Cosworth.  It will reportedly produce more than 450 bhp (335 kW) and send power to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

If everything pans out, TVR could build approximately 1,000 to 1,500 units annually with prices starting at roughly £60,000 ($91,900).
