Japanese magazine Best Car has released a photo with the upcoming 2016 Lexus LX 570 facelift.

The leak comes only several days after an image partially revealed its sister model, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser . Now in its third generation (J200), the LX came out back in 2007 and received a facelift in 2012 and now it seems it's just about ready to undergo a mild cosmetic surgery bringing a unified spindle grille, reshaped headlights with daytime running lights along with different fog lights. There could possibly be some changes at the back such as a modified bumper and different graphics for the taillights.

We don't know whether Lexus is planning to make some changes underneath the hood but chances are it will carry over the V8 5.7-liter engine with 383 bhp (286 kW) and 403 lb-ft (546 Nm) of torque. The engine works together with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a 4WD system equipped with a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Taking into account the aforementioned Land Cruiser is bound to receive autonomous emergency braking; chances are its posh brother will get it as standard. The system encompasses a radar and high-res camera to scan the road up ahead and whenever it detects an imminent collision, it automatically engages the brakes and it can also brake to avoid crashing into pedestrians.

We will know more around August when Toyota and Lexus will unveil their revised SUVs.
