RM Design has envisioned the mid-cycle facelift Volkswagen is preparing for the Golf.

Scheduled to debut towards the end of next year, the refreshed Golf VII is expected to bring some minor exterior design tweaks which will be noticeable in the design of the bumpers and the graphics of the lighting clusters. Also expect to see some fresh body paints, new alloy wheel designs along with other minor tweaks.

More significant changes will occur inside the cabin where the facelifted Golf is going to receive some of the features previewed in the Golf R Touch concept. The compact model is bound to receive gesture control technology, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen display for the infotainment system along with a smaller display located below for controlling the climate and other functions.

In the aforementioned Golf R Touch concept, the instrument cluster measured 12.3 inches, the infotainment system's screen had a 12.8-inch diagonal while the other screen had an 8-inch size.
