An Audi representative has dropped a hint about a possible debut of the SQ7 in September at Frankfurt Motor Show.
Recently spotted stretching out on the Nordschleife, Audi's hot Q7 is almost ready for an official reveal as the company's technical program manager Oliver Schol told Motoring that we will "see it very soon", thus indirectly confirming a September debut at IAA. If that turns out to be true, the SQ7 should go on sale this fall so expect deliveries to begin by the end of the year or early 2016.
The styling differences will be subtle compared to the regular Q7 models, but the beefier version is getting a quad exhaust setup, larger brakes and a slightly more aggressive body. Power will come from an e-turbo V8 diesel engine which will have either a 4.0 or a 4.2 displacement. Word on the street says output will surpass the 400 bhp (298 kW) and this should enable a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.5 seconds and a maximum speed of around 186 mph (300 km/h).
An online reveal of the Audi SQ7 could occur as early as second half of August, before its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
