The Volkswagen Tiguan has received some minor technical improvements for the new model year.
Starting with the engines, the 2.0-liter TDI units of the compact SUV have been boosted to produce more power. Two options will be offered – one with 150 PS (110 kW) and 5.0-5.7 l/100 km average fuel consumption and one with 184 PS (135 kW) that returns an average 5.7 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 150 gr/km.
Volkswagen says the entertainment systems in the Tiguan have also been “significantly upgraded”. The previous radio systems have been replaced by Composition Colour and Composition Media systems, while there’s also a new navigation system. The Discover Media comes with VW’s online services package Guide & Inform and App Connect, which enables integration and use of a wide range of smartphone apps from the Google and Apple Stores.
