Porsche has announced select units of the 918 Spyder will be the target of a "precautionary worldwide recall."

Third one so far, this latest recall involves cars produced before the end of last month which are vulnerable to an electric wiring harness damage caused by a carbon fiber component. Porsche has not specified the exact numbers of affected cars but they did say 223 of them are from United States, 76 from Germany and 23 from Switzerland.

Porsche mentions they have discovered the issue "following a detailed examination of inquiries" and are now directly contacting affected owners to bring their cars for an examination of the wiring harness which will be "optimally remounted", a process that will require half a day.
