Fueled by yesterday's rumors of an Ibiza-based high-riding model, RM Design has digitally imagined a Seat subcompact crossover.
Seat hasn't even introduces its first production crossover yet, but already we are hearing rumors of a second model based on the next generation Ibiza. While the compact 20V20 production version is due next year, a subcompact model won't be out sooner than the second half of 2017 and could look a lot like this render created by RM Design by taking styling cues from the current Ibiza, Leon and the aforementioned 20V20 concept.
The subcompact crossover will ride on a shortened version of the MQB platform and will be offered as standard with a FWD setup, but chances are an AWD system will be available at an additional cost and only with the more powerful engines.
Chances are Volkswagen will be the first VAG brand to launch a B-segment crossover, while Seat and Skoda could follow shortly after that.
