Lamborghini has released an on-board video with a brand new Aventador Superveloce lapping the Nürburgring track.
The supercar managed to post a sub seven minute lap time around the 'Ring during tire development tests with Pirelli, with the car running on P Zero Corsa tires while the identity of the driver has not been disclosed. With a lap time of 6 minutes and 59.73 seconds, the Aventador SV was only about 2 seconds slower than the much more expensive Porsche 918 Spyder which back in September 2013 completed the lap in 6:57.
Lamborghini has previously announced they will make only 600 units of the Aventador SV which compared to the regular version has gained 50 PS (to 750 PS) and lost 50 kg (now at 1,525 kg). These improvements have lowered the sprint time to 62 mph (100 km/h) by 0.1s to 2.8s while top speed stands at more than 217 mph (350 km/h).
Sales of the Aventador Superveloce will begin later this year, with pricing in United States kicking off at $493,069 whereas in Europe it costs €327,190.
