Nissan has released new details about the GT-R LM NISMO, ahead of its racing debut at Le Mans.
Designed specifically for the legendary endurance race, the GT-R LM NISMO has a carbon-composite body, a polycarbonate windshield and an adjustable rear wing. The model also has 16- and 18-inch center-locking BBS wheels with Michelin racing tires. Overall, it measures 4.64m long, 1.9m wide and 1.03m tall.
The lightweight body rides on a unique chassis which features a hydraulic rear anti-roll bar as well as Ohlins adjustable front dampers and Penske adjustable rear dampers. The model also has six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers with a driver-selectable brake bias.
Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine which is backed by a hybrid system. They are controlled by a five-speed sequential transmission with a Tilton three-plate carbon clutch and a pneumatic paddle shift system.
The engine sends power to the front wheels via an epicyclic final drive reduction system with a hydraulic limited slip differential.
