The highly anticipated Jaguar F-Pace has been caught on camera on more time, this time stretching in Germany around the Nürburgring.
It's a bit tricky getting used to Jaguar's name choice for their first crossover, but once you get over it there are reasons to be excited as "the ultimate practical sports car" will be a breath of fresh air in this crowded segment. The C-X17 concept previewed the model's potential and hopefully the transition to production will be just as exciting.
In terms of hardware, it will be similar to Jaguar's new XE and XF sedans as the F-Pace will utilize the same iQ[Al] platform, Ingenium four-cylinder engines along with a beefier V6 for the S model and later on a V8 for the range-topping SVR. Further down the line, a pure electric derivative will be out with an estimated range of 300 miles (483 km).
Jaguar has already confirmed to bring the F-Pace to Frankfurt Motor Show set for September and they will probably offer both four- and five-seat versions. A bigger J-Pace is expected to join the range sometime in 2019 and will reportedly be based on the Range Rover.
