The Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team has taken the wraps off their updated DS 3 WRC.

Set to enter competition later this month at Rally de Portugal, the updated cars have a new livery as well as a uniquely painted roof that makes it easy to identify which driver is piloting each particular model.

The cars also a new front fascia with a redesigned bumper and wings.  These changes sound minor but Citroen says they will help to increase downforce and reduce drag.

According to Citroën Racing Team Principal Yves Matton, “If you take the new features unveiled in January and this second batch, this is the most significant upgrade since the DS 3 WRC was first homologated." He went on to say "The aerodynamic upgrades introduced here should help us to keep improving. Confirmed during wind tunnel and pre-event testing, the gains achieved in terms of drag coefficient and downforce are significant.
