Porsche Cars North America has opened their new Porsche Experience Center and headquarters in Atlanta.

Located on the northeast corner of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the $100 (€88.8) million complex spans 27-acres and represents the company's largest investment ever outside of Germany.

While the facility wasn't cheap, it boasts a classic car gallery, a restoration center, a "human performance" center, a driving simulator lab and Restaurant 356 which is named after the company's first production model.  The complex also has 13,000 square feet of conference and event space as well as a 1.6-mile long Driver Development Track that has six instructor-led modules including a handling circuit, an off-road course, a dynamics area, a low friction handling circuit, a low friction circle and the only kick plate in North America.

According to Porsche Cars North America President and CEO Detlev von Platen, “Our vision for our new home was to create a bold and energizing environment here in Atlanta and demonstrate the unique capabilities of our sports cars. The experience center coupled with our headquarters is truly the first of its kind in the automotive industry where we welcome employees, partners, customers and enthusiasts alike.”
