The 2016 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid has been spied undergoing testing in the mountains.

While we already seen numerous Panamera prototypes in the past, this is the first time we've seen the eco-friendly hybrid variant.  However, the styling changes are minor and include a second 'fuel' cap that hides a charging port.

There's no word on specifications but the outgoing Panamera S Hybrid has a 3.0-liter V6 engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. This gives the car a combined output of 416 bhp and 435 lb-ft of torque.  It enables the hatchback to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 167 mph.
