German media is reporting Mercedes-Benz will open the order books for the SL facelift in December this year.

Back in February we shared the first spy shots with the SL facelift and now it has come to our attention Mercedes-Benz will start taking orders in December while deliveries are programmed to kick off in March 2016. The mid-cycle refresh will come with new full LED headlights, restyled side skirts and a fresh rear apron. There's also going to be a lightly reworked front grille and some moderate revisions to the bumpers while the taillights are getting different graphics inspired by those of the S-Class.

As far as the interior cabin is concerned, the report specifies we should expect to see Mercedes-Benz's latest implementation of its infotainment systems along with an updated array of safety and assistance systems. Some new upholstery options, trim packages and other minor tweaks are likely planned as well.
