Honda has announced the 2016 HR-V will be priced from $19,115 when it goes on sale in the United States on May 15th.
Set to battle the Chevrolet Trax, the 2016 HR-V features an expressive exterior with LED taillights and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The model entry-level HR-V LX also features a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control and a rearview camera. Other notable highlights include power windows / locks, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, a four-speaker audio system and Bluetooth connectivity.
Moving up to the $21,165 HR-V EX adds automatic headlights, privacy glass, fog lights and a power moonroof. The mid-range variant also has an automatic climate control system, heated front seats, chrome interior accents and a six-speaker Display Audio system with a seven-inch touchscreen display.
Last but not least, the range-topping EX-L Navi starts at $24,590 and comes nicely equipped with leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The crossover also has roof rails, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio and GPS navigation.
All the aforementioned models are powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 141 bhp (105 kW) and 127 lb-ft (172 Nm) of torque. It can be connected to either a six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable transmission. Front wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is optional.
