Chevrolet has unveiled their Corvette Z06 pace car for the 2015 Indianapolis 500.

Set to be driven by Jeff Gordon, the pace car features an Arctic White exterior with Indy graphics and strobe lights.  The car also has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 650 bhp (485 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque.  The engine is connected to a seven-speed manual transmission which should enable the pace car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.2 seconds.

According to Gordon, "Indy is hallowed ground for racers like me and I couldn’t be more thrilled to drive the Corvette Z06 pace car around the track that helped drive my success over the years."  He went on to say "I’ve won five NASCAR races at IMS and the track will always be a special place for me, so to be able to participate in such a historic day will be something I remember for the rest of my life.”
