Audi is putting the finishing touches on the all-new 2016 A4 as the model has been spotted testing once again.
Snapped in the city of Nurnberg, Germany, by a reader of IndianAutosBlog, the car still wears a full body camouflage, hiding almost all of its details. The vehicle will receive its debut in late August or early September prior to global premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Spied several times, the model will be up to 100 kg (220 lbs) lighter than its predecessor and will probably be slightly bigger. Riding on the MLB Evo platform, the 2016 A4 will feature an evolutionary design with sharper look and LED lights.
The interior will be granted with a completely redesigned center console with new gear shifter, infotainment system controls and display, as well as reshaped climate controls.
A total of 13 engines will be available initially including the familiar 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI engines as well as a newly developed 3.0 TFSI. On the diesel side there will be 1.6 and 2.0 TDIs and a range-topping 3.0 TDI. A plug-in hybrid version and a diesel-electric hybrid are also believed to be under development.
