An unused 2005 Maserati MC12 Versione Corse is up for grabs in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a cool $2,999,900.
Basically Maserati's version of the Ferrari FXX, the MC12 Versione Corse is a rare track-only vehicle of which only 12 were ever made. The vehicle was actually developed from the MC12 GT1 that triumphed in the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup and this unit has the chassis #002. It wears a Blue Victory exterior paint combined with a blue & black interior and at the time of its release it had a $1.47 million price tag.
Its heart and soul is a V12 6.0-liter engine pushing out 755 PS (555 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm, enough for a 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) run in 6.4 seconds and a 203 mph (326 km/h) top speed. The MC12 Versione Corse has a dry weight of 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs) and according to the listing this car has never been driven as the "55" displayed on the odometer represent only delivery miles.
