According to a recent report, Mercedes' Porsche Panamera competitor will be based on the next-generation CLS and feature unique styling that mimics the Mercedes-AMG GT.
New details are starting to emerge about Mercedes' upcoming Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera competitor.
According to Autobild, the model - tentatively known as the GT4 - will be based on the next-generation CLS and feature unique styling that mimics the Mercedes-AMG GT. The car is also slated to have a four-seat interior with unique components to help further distance itself from the CLS.
While the A7 and Panamera are offered with a variety of different engines, the GT4 will reportedly be a high-performance affair that is available with a turbo-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that has outputs of approximately 500 PS (367 kW) and 600 PS (441 kW).
The model is also slated to borrow a number of parts - including the brakes, suspension and system steering - from the next-generation E63 AMG S. We can also expect an adaptive air suspension, dynamic engine mounts and an electronic locking differential - among other things.
If everything pans out, the GT4 will be launched in 2019 and cost somewhere between €120,000-140,000.
