Work continues on the 2016 Mercedes A45 AMG as our spies have snapped new pictures of the upcoming hatchback.

Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted variant features a more aggressive front bumper which is expected to mimic the one on the C63 AMG.  Additional changes are limited but we can see a modified rear bumper and a sportier exhaust system.

While the styling changes are relatively minor, previous reports have suggested the car's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine could be upgraded to produce approximately 380 PS (375 bhp / 280 kW). If this number pans out, the hatchback could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
