The Shanghai Motor Show continues as Qoros has taken the wraps off their 2 SUV PHEV Concept.

Designed to appeal to "creative young people," the 2 is a sub-compact crossover that features a V-shaped front fascia and vertical headlights.  The unique styling continues further back as there's extended wheel arches, protruding LED taillights and an upright tailgate with an integrated spoiler.  The crossover also has a panoramic glass roof, a dual exhaust system and an aircraft-inspired charging probe that automatically rises at the push of a button.

The latter is designed to allow people to drive into a receiver socket - mounted in a garage or car park - in a similar fashion that an F-16 refuels midair.

Interior pictures were not released but Qoros says the cabin has a digital instrument cluster, a ‘floating’ upper instrument panel and a pop-up gear selector.  There's also an infotainment system and a multi-zone climate control system.

Power is provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a small displacement turbocharged petrol engine, two electric motors and "ultra-high density batteries."  The petrol engine powers the front wheels, while the electric motors power the rear wheels.
