The Buick Avenir concept was one of the stars of the North American International Auto Show and a recent report is indicating it could be headed for production.

In an interview with Autoblog, General Motors' Executive Vice President of Global Product Development revealed the company is currently evaluating the possibility of a production model.  Mark Reuss was coy on specifics but said the company always does "business cases on things that are very nice and attractive" so they're "absolutely" considering a production variant.

There's no word on when a decision will be made but the concept featured knock-out styling, a "next-generation" V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission that sent power to an all-wheel drive system.
