Volkswagen has released several teaser images and a video with the GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo set to be offered exclusively in GT6.

It represents a follow-up to last year's GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo only this time it takes the shape of a hardcore three-door hatchback with an extremely wide body kit. It gets a huge front splitter made from carbon fiber, flared wheel arches and a prominent rear wing also made from carbon fiber.

The same lightweight material has been used for the rear diffuser which hosts dual round exhaust tips featuring a metallic finish. It also appears to have full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights mounted to the extremities of the front fascia.

The identity of the engine is not known at this point, but we remind you last year's concept had a twin-turbo VR6 TSI 3.0-liter with 503 bhp (375 kW) and 665 Nm (491 lb-ft) sent to a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed DSG.

Chances are the GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo will make its debut in the metal next month at the Wörthersee show in Austria and then it will make the transition to the virtual world by starring in Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 6.
