Opel has unveiled the Corsa 1.4 LPG, equipped with a factory LPG system.
The “Mr. Clean” in the Corsa family has 90 HP (66 kW) that come from a 1.4-liter engine. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and needs 6.9 liters/100 km over the combined cycle using Liquefied Petroleum Gas with CO2 emissions of 113 g/km. The German manufacturer says fuel costs are reduced by almost 50 percent compared to gasoline versions.
Opel also explains the Corsa LPG comes ready for bi-fuel operation directly from the factory. The driver can switch between LPG and gasoline by pushing a button that controls a newly developed module. The car has a combined driving range of up to 1,200 km on a signle charge of the LPG and petrol tanks.
