A new report indicates Audi is preparing an RS3 Sedan for the United States.

Fourtitude has managed to find out from an Audi of America employee meeting held in Maryland a few days ago that a sedan version of the new RS3 is heading to U.S. Right now, the model is available only in Europe in the five-door Sportback body style but it seems it will make the journey to United States where it will take the shape of a four-door sedan.

It will carry over the 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbocharged "class-conquering engine" pushing out 367 HP (270 kW) and 324 lb-ft (465 Nm). It will be coupled to a seven-speed S tronic gearbox sending all that power to a quattro all-wheel drive system. Performance figures should be very close to those of the RS3 Sportback which needs 4.3 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) before topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h) or 174 mph (280 km/h) if you pay more.

There's no word about the price tag but obviously it will be a lot more expensive than the S3 Sedan which kicks off at $41,100. The report also mentions Audi is considering a manual gearbox, but a final decision has not been taken yet.
