A limited-run BMW M5 "30 Jahre M5" special edition is up for grabs in United States for no less than $325,000.

BMW built only 300 units of the special edition M5 and only 30 of them (one reserved by BMW North America) hit stateside with an original price tag of $138,275. The US-spec version reached sold out status in a matter of minutes and shortly after being unveiled a US-spec car was listed on eBay for $200,000. Now, another one driven for 200 miles (321 km) is available for a cool $325,000.

Compared to a regular M5, the 30 Jahre M5 edition comes with an extra 40 HP & 20 Nm for a total of 600 HP & 700 Nm channeled to the rear wheels exclusively through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It also gets unique two-tone 20-inch alloys, a Frozen Dark Silver metallic paint from the Individual catalog, along with individual numbering and special badges & plaques.

It comes equipped as standard with the Competition Package which lowers the suspension by 10mm and includes stiffer anti-sway bars, a reprogrammed M Dynamic Mode, new engine management system and a boosted charge pressure.

All these changes make the limited-run model 0.4s quicker in the sprint than the standard model which means the high-performance sedan can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically-capped at 155 mph (250 km/h) but BMW offered an optional M Driver's Package raising the limiter to 190 mph (305 km/h).
