After making its debut at Geneva Motor Show in European guise, the Ford Focus RS is now heading to the New York Auto Show in US specification.

There's still no word about the final power figure of the 2.3-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine but we previously heard from Ford's Ireland and Spain branches the motor will develop 350 PS (345 bhp / 257 kW). All that power will be sent to an all-wheel drive system exclusively through a 6-speed manual gearbox while the beefy 19-inch wheels are shod in Pilot Super Sport tires or optional Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubbers.

Scheduled to hit US dealerships next spring, the 2016 Ford Focus RS comes equipped as standard with Brembo brakes featuring ventilated front discs coupled to four-piston monobloc calipers painted in RS blue. The hot hatchback has a 0.35 drag coefficient and is going to feature a drift mode which upon activation will modify torque distribution to grant controlled oversteer drifts.

The 2016 Ford Focus will be produced in Germany and is going to be offered in Nitrous Blue, Stealth Gray, Frozen White and Shadow Black. It will be on display at the 2015 New York Auto Show starting April 1.
