A fully camouflaged prototype of the 2016 Lexus RX has been spotted recently by a WCF reader.

Lexus has already gave us a sneak preview of their upcoming mid-size crossover described as being an all-new model and now we take another look at a camo-heavy RX prototype undergoing final testing on the streets of Brussels, Belgium. Because of the significant amount of disguise, we are not able to see the sloping roofline revealed in an official teaser pic, but at least the blocky wheel arches are visible along with a prominent roof spoiler incorporating the third brake light.

Technical specifications are not available at this point, but the model is bound to grow in size and it could spawn a seven-seat version. Power is expected to come from a familiar V6 3.5-liter engine sending around 270 bhp (201 kW) to the road via a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.

We will have all the details on April 1 when the fourth generation Lexus RX will make its world premiere at the New York Auto Show.

Special thanks go to Benjamin for sending us the pics!
