Previewed by the Clubman concept, the production model has a familiar design that closely echoes the Cooper.  However, the Clubman features a slightly revised front bumper and longer rear doors which now open in a traditional manner.  The model also has a distinctive split tailgate and a massive panoramic roof.

Engine options will carryover from the Cooper, so expect a variety of petrol and diesel options including a 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 134 bhp (100 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque as well as a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 189 bhp (141 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque.
