An intoxicated driver decided to pull over and call 911 to turn himself in to the police.

Canadians are known to be among the most polite people in the world so it makes sense that 55-year-old Donald Dummer from Essex County felt bad after driving under influence and pulled over to call the police. When speaking with the 911 operator, unemployed Dummer admitted he has a drinking problem and wants to get rid of his alcohol addiction.

The night before the incident he drank a lot and decided to commit DUI after getting a phone call about a welfare appointment which was brought forward and since there wasn't anyone who could give him a ride, he decided to drive to the meeting.

After pulling over on a provincial highway, Dummer called the police and was arrested and is now facing an impaired driving charge.
