According to a recent report, Honda could eventually offer the Euro-spec Civic hatchback in the United States.

Nothing is official but Nikkei is reporting the Japanese automaker will begin exporting the model from their Swindon plant in the United Kingdom.  The report goes on to say this could happen as early as the summer of 2016 and the company expects to produce approximately 30,000 - 40,000 units for the North American market.

While hatchbacks haven't fared particularly welll in the United States, Honda is reportedly eyeing the move as a way to increase production at the underutilized Swindon plant.
