Ford has built the 5-millionth model to be equipped with an EcoBoost engine.

The red Focus rolled off the assembly line last week at the company's Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne and featured a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine that produces 123 bhp (91 kW) and 123 lb-ft (166 Nm) of torque.

The achievement comes nearly six years after the first EcoBoost engine was launched in the Taurus SHO in 2009.  It also coincides with the first year that Ford has offered EcoBoost engines across their entire passenger vehicle lineup in the United States.
