Florida-based Revology Cars has revealed its classic Ford Mustang replica at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
Dubbed as “the first true replica of the Mustang”, the vehicle has the classic design of the first generation of the model, “looking just as stunning as the original”. The interesting part is this is not only just a replica, as founder of the company Tom Scarpello describes it as a “postmodern interpretation”. It features many modern technologies, such as a 5.0-liter V8 fuel-injected engine, a three-link rear suspension, four disc brakes, a power steering, remote keyless entry, power seats, power door locks, a digital message center on the instrument cluster, a Bluetooth connectivity and etc. The car can be equipped with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
“We didn’t take any liberties with the styling,” Scarpello comments. “Instead our mission was quite the opposite. We carefully integrated technology in order to improve the user experience while maintaining the integrity of the original design.”
The modern Mustang replica has a base price of 119,500 USD (113,430 EUR) and is available in both convertible and fastback body styles with deliveries starting in spring of 2016.
