A Volkswagen Polo-based crossover is likely in the works and this render shows an unofficial speculative design proposal.

At the beginning of the year we heard Heinz-Jakob Neuser, board member for technical development at Volkswagen saying that a "B-segment crossover would fit very nicely into our generous range", thus fueling rumors about a possible Polo-based high-riding model. There are some chances it could happen and the latest gossip says it will be based on the next generation Polo platform which will use a shorter version of the MQB platform.

Slotting between the unreleased up!-based Taigun and the next-gen Tiguan, Volkswagen's crossover doesn't have a name yet while the design should be influenced by the T-ROC concept. If green-lighted for production, the model could eventually spawn Skoda and Seat derivatives but it's too early to talk about that.
