Independent designer Remco Meulendijk has created a virtual flagship SUV model for Opel.

Envisioned in several body colors, the vehicle shares some of its design cues with the Monza concept, revealed during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. On the other hand, the rear end of the machine somehow reminds of the Insignia Country Tourer.

Following the rumors from last years, the flagship SUV for the German brand was confirmed by General Motors CEO Mary Barra in 2014. She commented that “this SUV will be the brand’s second flagship alongside the Insignia” and will probably debut by the end of 2017. There’s still no official name announced, but the crossover will likely carry the Monza name and will share its engine lineup with the next generation Insignia.
