Honda has taken the wraps off an aerokit tailored to the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series.

About three weeks ago we saw Chevrolet's IndyCar aero package for this year and now Honda is doing the same thing with their kit created in North America by Honda Performance Development (HPD). The package took "thousands of hours of research, development and testing" and it encompasses almost 200 individual parts that can be fitted onto the current Dallara chassis.

Honda Performance Development says the new aerodynamic package grants teams and drivers with the possibility of choosing from a wide variety of configurations to tune the cars according to the necessary characteristics.

Honda's IndyCar aero kit will make its public debut during the Verizon IndyCar Series "Open Test" scheduled for March 16-17 at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Alabama, ahead of the season opener programmed for March 29 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Florida.
